St. Mary Cathedral
St. Mary Cathedral is the largest church in Windhoek, seat of the Archbishop and belongs to the Roman-Catholic Church of Namibia. Part of the complex is also the private catholic hospital and a religious school.
The Cathedral is located in Windhoek-Central. It was built between 1903 and 1904 in a neo-romantical style. The second turret was only built around 1930 and the church was further enlarged in the 1970s.

Heinitzburg (originally Heynitzburg, German for "Heinitz' castle") is one of the three castles in Windhoek. It was built in 1914 by architect Wilhelm Sander. It is today used as an outstanding hotel with one of the best restaurants in Namibia. The hotel is a member of the Relais & Chateaux group.
