Casinos are popular spots for day and night entertainment. Besides many (quite dodgy) gamble halls, two real casinos currently exist in Windhoek. One is the centrally located "Sands Casino" in the Gustav Voigts Centre, the other one is at the Windhoek Country Club. A third casino is planed to be opened towards July 2010 in the newly build "Hilton Windhoek" at Independence Avenue.

Feel like a German King
Heinitzburg (originally Heynitzburg, German for "Heinitz' castle") is one of the three castles in Windhoek. It was built in 1914 by architect Wilhelm Sander. It is today used as an outstanding hotel with one of the best restaurants in Namibia. The hotel is a member of the Relais & Chateaux group.
