The different Cultural Centres in Windhoek are popular spots for entertainment. Here one can attend movie evenings, exhibitions and many more cultural highlights. Most of them are funded by development aid from Europe and thus promote Namibia as well as their home countries. The most well known places are the French "Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre" as well the German "Goethe-Zentrum".
